CyberArk Webinar to Address the Impact of NIST SP 800-53 Revision Four on Privileged Controls

New White Paper Outlines How NIST Revisions to Address APT Threats Impacts Privileged Account Control and Compliance

NEWTON, Mass. - May 22, 2013 - CyberArk today announced details of its upcoming webinar, "NIST SP 800-53 Rev 4, Privileged Account Controls and APTs." This webinar will provide attendees with a comprehensive overview of the changes to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-53 Revision 4, how the changes impact an organization's approach to automating controls on privileged accounts, and how the proper implementation of privileged account controls can lessen the attack surface of advanced threats. The webinar will cover key points in a new white paper addressing the NIST revisions, available for download here.

Who:

Laura Robinson, principal, Robinson Insight

Kevin Corbett, director of federal sales, CyberArk Software

What:

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-53 provides guidance for the selection of security and privacy controls for federal information systems and organizations. Revision 4 is the most comprehensive update since the initial publication. This update was motivated principally by the expanding threat space and increasing sophistication of cyber attacks. Major changes include new security controls and control enhancements to address advanced persistent threats (APTs), insider threats, and system assurance; as well as technology trends such as mobile and cloud computing.

This webinar will provide attendees with a full examination of how the NIST changes impacts their organization, why privileged accounts are continually targeted by cyber-attackers in APTs, and how the proper implementation of privileged account controls can lessen the attack surface of advanced threats.
