2008 Network World Clear Choice Winner

CyberArk Leads the Industry as Network World's "Clear Choice" Winner for Privileged Account Management Solutions

Head-to-Head Product Review Showcases Enterprise Password Vault's "Infrastructure Intelligence" and High Degree of Compatibility and Flexibility

NEWTON, MA - May 7, 2008 - Cyber-Ark Software today announced that Enterprise Password Vault™ (EPV) has been named the winner of Network World magazine's first ever "Clear Choice Test" for Privileged Account Management (PAM) products. This recognition further validates Cyber-Ark as the leading provider of Privileged Identity Management (PIM) solutions and affirms their record year of 70 percent revenue growth and a customer base exceeding 400 enterprises.

In the April 28, 2008, Network World review titled, "New Tools Control Access by Privileged Users," authors Tom Henderson and Rand Dvorak noted, "Enterprise Password Vault (EPV) stunned us with the breadth of server operating systems devices and application for which it can supply privileged password system support."

The results of the magazine's first head-to-head comparison of the industry's leading Privileged Account Management solutions tested Cyber-Ark's Enterprise Password Vault, Symark's PowerKeeper, e-DMZ Security's Password Repository and Quest's Privilege Manager (QPM) for Unix. For the test, Network World defined Privileged Account Management as the ability to provide controlled privileged access for IT administrators and power users.

"We picked Cyber-Ark Enterprise Password Vault as the Clear Choice winner as it offers the widest compatibility list for operating systems, applications and 'rolling your own' passwords," wrote Tom Henderson and Rand Dvorak. "It also offers an in-depth understanding of directory services that we used in that it's able to find them, deal with them, and get moving in very short order with a degree of flexibility that was often more robust that the competition."

Network World found Cyber-Ark's EPV superior to the competition due to its simpler and unique approach to PAM, and highlighted four key components that put Cyber-Ark a cut above the rest: the Enterprise Password Vault, its Central Password Manager, its Password Vault Web Access System, and EPV's Application Identity Management component. Additionally, Network World awarded EPV with top marks for its rapid integration with directory services and applications, and its deep and extensive high and wide compatibility with a wide range of target systems, devices and applications.

With the addition of more than 120 EPV customers in 2007 alone, Cyber-Ark works with some of the most complex and highly-sensitive organizations around the world. The company experienced significant market traction last year, including a 40% increase in its global customer base. New customers were added across all major industries, as large and mid-size enterprises sought a proven product that could effectively and efficiently secure, manage, update and control their powerful privileged identities in an integrated and fully automated manner. As a result, Cyber-Ark currently leads the PIM market with 25% of the Fortune 50 as customers.

Organizations that have recently begun to see the benefits of Cyber-Ark include Target, Dell, IBM Europe, Clayton Homes, Chemical Bank, Pacific Life Insurance, Enbridge Energy, Exelon Energy, Stryker, Visa International (Singapore), Oliver Wyman and the London 2012 Olympics. Cyber-Ark also saw a number of customers who continued to purchase additional products and services such as Barclay's, Altiris, Williams Companies and ING Direct.

"We are especially thrilled with the results of this landmark review, as it further validates Cyber-Ark as the leader in the maturing PAM market," said Udi Mokady, Founder, President and CEO of Cyber-Ark Software. "Though our continued growth and customer demand demonstrates the critical importance of our EPV solution, it is an honor to receive such an affirmative review from a top industry publication as Network World."
